Boston

Boston is beautiful in the fall.

I am thankful...

for Sundays. I got to go to Yankee Stadium, eat a bagel with more peanut butter than bagel for my early afternoon snack, walk around until my feet were about to fall off and then some more with my girl-powerrrr friend around the reservoir-mindlessly TWICE, and then sing songs with real/made up lyrics in my head and out loud all the way home, AND then pizza with D and daydreaming about biking in Colorado's wine country (not kidding, read in the NYT yesterday!) AND cranberry bogs...

Yankee Stadium

I was very fortunate to be invited to join some friends for a tour of Yankee Stadium this morning, even though it meant that I had to haul my butt out of bed after only 4 hours of sleep.

I am really a Mets fan and of Shea's ugly orange seats, but I have to say the rows of blues were mind numbing and kind of grew on me...

Cancun

I think this is the most PROMPT post I've ever done. Partly because I only brought my handy dandy little camera to Cancun, partly because I am a DUMBO of the tallest order. First, the one day I was up early enough to see the beautiful sunrise, I had a babo moment of not being able to get back into my room to get the camera (I had door issues). Then i did not charge this little guy's battery so it died as soon as I got to the wedding ceremony. Aiyaya, I really do too many mental kicking too often! So I did even less picture taking than I initially planned. I felt kind of naked without not even my little guy.

So I have exactly 4 pictures to post- made the selection easy. The long exposure on this little guy turned out to be not bad at all. Though the last one was an accident, but kind of cool.

Brooklyn

Before going to MD, before baking bread, sometime in August, I made my way to Brooklyn :)

No knead bread

I might not lead the most exciting life, but I sure lead a pretty delicious life! I've baking bread on and off, experimenting with the "no knead" technique that was the craze last year. I did get myself a le creuset dutch oven (red) for christmas last year, I think i might as well continue the tradition and go for another matching piece for this Christmas! Anyway, i made two different kinds, which wasn't good for my diet, especially since I have not only officially fallen off the marathon wagon, I am stuck in the ditch!!! Come November, dad is going to kick my butt and leave me in his trail of dust!

Presidential SWEET

It's another mad dash to clear my memory card before I head off to another adventure.
So let's see, what did I do in the last month...

Ah! Brothers and I went on our annual eating trip.

The trip kicked off with a huge bang!!! M got us upgraded to the presidential suite in AC. The balcony alone could swallow my apt whole!!! Since none of us inherited the gambling gene, the luxurious surrounding provided that little extra bit of incentive for us to stay in and play cards all night. (We first had to decide which room though...)

After AC, onward to MD-

On the way back up via Philly, we stopped by this relatively new raceway to kill some time so we can arrive Philly around dinner time :) (Willy, if you are reading this, you see that little logo?!)

Before returning to NY, we ended with the battle of the cheesesteaks!
