Walking Around

It's been a while since I've gotten up early enough to go wandering around in the morning. I didn't go too far, but it was nice and relaxing.

Mexican Shuttle Bus

The Mexican Shuttle Bus is exactly what it sounds like, it's a shuttle bus operated by Mexicans. However, contrary to popular assumption, I did not give myself another vacation for Xmas. Instead of crossing the Rio Grande, the Mexican shuttle bus I am referring to is merely crossing the Hudson! (Thank you S for thinking my life is way more exciting than it actually it!) Nevertheless, I was bouncing off the wall before the bus anyway :)

Truth is, Master Wang came back to NY for a month. He called up his apprentice to hang and have Christmas lunch. Originally, I was going to trek out by train, but it would have taken too long. So he enlightened me with the knowledge of the Mexican shuttle bus.

Anyway, instead of taking the shuttle back, I took a stroll across the bridge, taking pictures along the way.

Grand Central Again

City Hall Tour

A and I went on a tour of the abandoned city hall station last weekend. It was worth every picture I took! There were arches:

Stained glass ceiling:

Of course, my overactive imagination thought the lights make this ceiling look like some kind of sacrificial altar. But hey, that's just a regular day's work for my overactive imagination.

Seattle

A few weekends ago, I was in Seattle for a conference. Of course, I couldn't let the opportunity to explore a new city pass. So I *kind of* forced my NYC walking habit (in my not-too-outrightly-forceful-but-getting-what-I-want-way) on my poor friend S, who obviously did not know what he was getting himself into when he cordially and innocently *volunteered* to show me around his city.

Hey! At least I did not make him claim Mt. Rainier!!!

We did end the night at his favorite bar (I am not completely heartless). But before that we took another detour and spent sometime at this park across the water for these night shots!

Nerd Pride

I first learned how to take pictures as a clueless frosh from Indy, Gabor and Jiri from The Tech. I think they took pity on this girl who laughed too much and worried about failing 8.01. I loved my time there and thankful for it everyday for helping me become the person I am.

Since I left, the 'tute has added a new gym, new dorm... and ANNA's right on the premise. So jealous!
